Recently, Alex Kipman from Microsoft announced that the developer version of HoloLens (HoloLens DevKit) will begin shipping from 3/30/16 (March, 30th, 2016). The holographic headset was announced since on February, 2016. The DevKit currently costs $3000, it is the first fully holographic device.
Developers who bought the DevKit will develop apps for the HoloLens. When apps are developed you can get them from the Windows Store for the HoloLens.
