It's an easy step. Some people want third party keyboard because the need to type by swiping. So Apple's fix in keyboard doesn't have swipe type feature. So people look for third party keyboard. Download the keyboard you want from the app store. Go to Settings> General> Keyboard> Keyboard and now select 'Add new keyboard' and if you want multiple keyboards when you type. You can switch it easily by pressing globe icon on the bottom of each keyboard.
